The Casentino Valley is abundant with natural produce, much of it growing
wild within its forests and fields. Part of the heritage of this region
is relived each season through the harvest and presentation of local delicacies
on the table. The history of this part of Italy tells a story of proud
people and their traditions from which they have salvaged memories, recipes,
flavors and passed on from generation to generation.
of Casentino take immense pride in their ancient cultural village festivals,
many of them of a gastronomical nature.
Chestnuts, porcini, truffles, prosciutto, wild berries, cheese, wine and
the ubiquitous olive oil are but a few of the seasonal specialties you
will sample on this tour. The farm also grows a wonderful variety of organic
vegetables which are picked on a daily basis and used to prepare the delicious
meals you will enjoy during your stay. All meals are prepared in typical
"casa linga" style to ensure authenticity.
We absolutely guarantee the food will be memorable! If you have any specific

The food you will enjoy at the farm will be accompanied with a selection
of local wines and you will have the opportunity to taste very special
"aperitivi and digestivi" before and after dinner. Many made with fruit
and nuts growing on the farm.
You will also have the chance to help preparation in the "cucina" if you
so desire. We include a wonderful evening with pizza cooked in the wood-fired
forno in the loggia.
Depending on the season, you may experience one of the many festivals
presenting gourmet delights of the current harvest. We try to co-ordinate
our tours to include these special events where possible.
